What variable that is deliberately changed called [indep/dep or controlled variable]?

ok the real question was worded differently that's why i got confused

the orginal said [true or false]

'; the variable that is deliberately changed is the respodning variable ';

is this true? or is it the indep/dep/controlled variable?

thanks !What variable that is deliberately changed called [indep/dep or controlled variable]?
I've never heard of a controlled variable or a responding variable, but I can tell you that it is independent. The variable that you assign values to (deliberately change) is the independent variable, and that variable that is affected by that is the dependent variable.What variable that is deliberately changed called [indep/dep or controlled variable]?
The control is what you dot change. The Dependant is what you're measuring, the independant is what you are changing. So your variable that is deliberately changed is your independant variable
