You are probably talking about the ';discrete random variable.';
This term is used in statistics and it means a variable that changes within specifc limits or parameters and focuses on only a few factors that causes changes or fluctiations in that variable.
A discrete random variable is one of the ';controlled variables'; but there are more types of them.
I think its the variable that you change... or changes naturaly... shoot! *looks in binder, serriously* yeah... i threw out the paper cuz my teach told me to.. :-(
