Which is the control group/expereimental group? dependent/independent/ controled variable?

so im doing this experiment which is comparing diferent kinds of ';green energy'; (solar, wind, biogas) and we want to prove that biogas is more effective.. help?!Which is the control group/expereimental group? dependent/independent/ controled variable?
You need to be more specific in your question... more effective than.. what? fossil fuels? than each other? And you have to define 'effective'...do you mean miles per gallon or energy produced (houses that are heated, etc.). You can't have any groups or variables until you decide what it is you are exactly testing. If you were doing it against fossil fuels and comparing them based on the number of potential houses being heated (information you'd have to get from the energy companies) I am pretty sure the independent variable is the one which you, the tester controls. The dependent variable is what changes during the experiment. I am uncertain about the controlled variable. Your science textbook is certainly going to have these definitions and likely some examples of experiments. Otherwise, check out sciencebuddies.com, howstuffworks.com, and elmer's glue has a website on science fairs. Good luck.Which is the control group/expereimental group? dependent/independent/ controled variable?
Not sure about control.

Independend varialbes are solar, wind, and biogas.

Dependent variables are the amount of energy produced.
