What would be an example of a NON controlled variable? ?
study where 1/2 the kids watch edu TV and 1/2 the kids watch cartoons? What would be an example of a NON controlled variable? ?
== In the design of experiments and data analysis, control variables are those variables that are not changed throughout the trials in an experiment because the experimenter is not interested in the effect of that variable being changed for that particular experiment. In other words, control variables are extraneous factors, possibly affecting the experiment, that are kept constant so as to minimize their effects on the outcome. An example of a control variable in an experiment might be keeping the pressure constant in an experiment designed to test the effects of temperature on bacterial growth.

Why do we as a society seek control over influential factors and variables in our lives?
thanks...need ppls opinions as part of research for my majorwork.
\
any personal experiences/ opinions about ur own need for control will be appreciatedWhy do we as a society seek control over influential factors and variables in our lives?
The illusion of some control over the chaos of my life makes me feel SAFE. This is the same reason many people become so stuck in a routine that they can't get out of. Either because it makes them feel safe or the act of not performing their routine causes an irrational fear that something bad will happen. Why do we as a society seek control over influential factors and variables in our lives?
Learning to control things is part of human nature.
We learn that by creeping and crawling we can get to interesting things on the floor, and we have a choice about which ones to investigate. This is control.
We learn to walk, and entirely new horizons open up. We have even more choices now because we can see more things. Choosing which thing to investigate is about control.
We learn to speak, and now we can voice our needs. Which needs we voice is a matter of need at first (I'm hungry, thirsty, etc.) but soon we can say Yes or No, and this is control.
In other words, learning control (accumulating personal power is another way to look at it) is basic to becoming an adult.
All societies seek to control the members of said society; that's why societies have rules, and it's how they identify members of the same society. We in the West seek to control things like inflation because we understand that severe inflation is a real problem. We also seek to contain the spread of infectious diseases, for obvious reasons.
i dont either.please stay on your side of the fence.
i don't do that. i have met some people that do. but not me sorry just had to say that.

What is a control? and what is a variable? ?
im doing a project------dont give me a long answers---i know one means something u change and something u dont change can sum1 tell me which is whichWhat is a control? and what is a variable? ?
control is something that doesn't change.
variable are what you experiment on.
.What is a control? and what is a variable? ?
variable means changing.
a control remains constant through all subjects and experimentsgas mask

Need help identifying independent variable, dependent variable, and the control for my experiment?
hey everybody! I am doing a science experiment and I need to identify the independent variable, dependent variable, and the control.
okay so here is the experiment:
What brand of soap foams the best when heated in the microwave?
procedure:
# Unwrap a bar of Ivory鈩?soap.
# Place the bar of soap on a paper plate or microwave-safe dish.
# Nuke your soap. Watch the soap closely to see what happens.
# Depending on microwave power, your soap will reach its maximum volume within 90 second to 2 minutes. If you microwave the soap longer (I went up to 6 minutes) nothing bad will happen, but the soap won't continue to grow.
#Measure the length and width of the soap foam and record the data.
#Repeat the above steps with the two other brands of soap.
Materials:
* bar of Ivory鈩?soap, bar of Dove soap, and a bar of Olay soap
* paper plate or microwave-safe dish
* microwave oven
* electric circuit
so please help me identify the variables and control. Thank you :)Need help identifying independent variable, dependent variable, and the control for my experiment?
Independent variables answer the question ';What do I change?';.
Dependent variables answer the question ';What do I observe?';.
Controlled variables answer the question ';What do I keep the same?';.
Control variable - things that stay the same - time, temp, paper plate, microwave power
Independent varialble - the thing your are testing - soaps
Dependent - bubbles/foam

What is a controlled variable?
a variable that is not changedWhat is a controlled variable?
It's the variable which is removed/not added in the control group of an experiment. The experimental variable is what is being tested (by adding or taking it away) in the experimental group of an experiement. The control group is used as a standard for comparison with the experimental group. What is a controlled variable?
a controlled variable is a term that is used in a scientific expirement. like if you wonder if the roads paint is peeled off because of an ingredient then you would paint two identical sections of road with the two different types of paint... the two paints would be the controlled variable.
it is a number that can changes but is still a number u can controle
When doing an experiment, the control is the sample that is not messed around with. It provides a reference or baseline to see the differences in your experiment. As an example, here is a science project I did in 6th grade - I wanted to see if subjecting bean seeds to harsh conditions would affect the growth of the plant when the seed was planted. I dunked some in acid and then planted them, I subjected some to intense heat and then planted them, I subjected some to physical abuse and then planted them, etc etc. I also had to plant some bean seeds that I DIDN'T do anything to - just planted them normally, grew them normally. These plants whose seeds I did not mess with are called the control group, or my controlled variable. The resulting plants from un-abused seeds were the comparison plants to see the differences caused by seed abuse. I hope this makes sense. BTW would you believe that the bean seeds dunked in 60% sulfuric acid grew, although they were not as healthy as the control and they grew much slower. Sadly, the beans that were hit with a carbon-arc torch for 5 seconds did not even germinate. LOL

Hi , visual basic 6 , stock control bu using static variable?
hi , i want to create stock control by using static variable. i have text box which has 100 as text on it . i want to create code when i press on a command buttton that number to decrease by 1 number . when exit the program and come again i want that number to be there not 100. like a counter
thank you
thank youHi , visual basic 6 , stock control bu using static variable?
How it is possible with the help of static variable?
Static variable will hold ur value only till it exit from the program.
Not at all possible.
Only thing u can do is that, b4 quitting the program you can store the value of the static variable into a file and reload the value from the file to static variable whenever the pgm starts.
thank you
